Community involvement is the backbone of El Centro Su Teatro; it cannot fulfill its mission without your participation.
Volunteer Opportunities El Centro Su Teatro is proud of the work of its volunteers. Over fifty volunteers give their time to El Centro Su Teatro on a regular basis. Over 100 volunteers can be called on for special occassions such as a Capital campaign or major events such as the 25th Anniversary Gala and the annual Chicano Music Festival. Volunteers participate in all events, providing crucial support staff. Ushering, setting up technical equipment, and working in our tienda are just some of the services that volunteers provide.   Volunteers also participate in marketing and fundraising, orchestrating the networks that create a buzz around events, host house parties, and participate in the Annual Campaign.				Fundraising With the technical assistance of The Grassroots Institute of Fundraising Training, El Centro Su Teatro has begun to build a base ofindividual donors to support its programmatic work. The support of individuals is crucial because ECST wants to be accountable to its own community rather than corporations or foundations. The involvement of individuals with whom members of the centro share a deep connection - is more important and more sustainable than the support of foundations and corporations.
